Offers & Discounts
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Up Offers & Discounts program. Participation in the Program is optional and requires you to opt in through the Up app. By opting in, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. You can opt in and out of the Program at any time.
Eligibility
The Program provides Eligible Debit Card holders with access to promotional offers from third-party retailers. The Program is available only to Up customers with an active Eligible Debit Card.
Offers
Offers are personalised based on your transaction history or may be offered generally and may differ between customers. Up may analyse your recent transaction history to identity Offers you may be interested in. Offers may be delivered via Up app notifications or in the “Offers & Discounts” section in the Up app. Each Offer will be subject to specific terms and conditions (including but not limited to minimum spend, eligible purchase types, qualifying dates, excluded items), which will be clearly communicated when the Offer is presented.
Redemption
To redeem an Offer you must activate the Offer in the Up app (unless the Up app indicates the Offer has been automatically activated) and then make an Eligible Purchase which complies with the Offer terms and conditions using an Eligible Debit Card at the participating retailer. Any purchase or transaction that occurs before an Offer is activated cannot be an Eligible Purchase for that Offer.
Unless stated otherwise in the Offer terms and conditions, you must spend any required minimum amount in a single transaction. Offers can only be claimed once per customer. Payments must be made within Australia and in Australian dollars (AUD). Offers are not valid in conjunction with any other offer, gift cards, coupon deals or promotions. Offers cannot be refunded, exchanged, transferred or redeemed for cash.
Cashback
When you make an Eligible Purchase for an activated Offer, you will receive Cashback to the value outlined in the relevant activated Offer. Cashback will generally be credited to your Up Account and show within your Activity feed within 14 business days of an Eligible Purchase but may take longer in some circumstances. Cashback cannot be provided in any other form. Where a transaction is reversed, refunded or disputed, Up may reverse any associated Cashback. If you opt-out of the Program or close your Up Account prior to Cashback being credited to your Up Account, this may result in the Cashback being forfeited. Transactions processed through third-party payment platforms (e.g. PayPal or Afterpay) cannot be Eligible Purchases for an Offer unless otherwise specified in the Offer terms and conditions. Up may receive a commission from the third-party retailer when you make an Eligible Purchase for an activated offer.
Withdrawal or non-availability of Offers
Offers may be withdrawn before you activate them or be unavailable due to technical issues or other unforeseen circumstances.
Exclusions, suspensions and cancellation
Transactions that do not meet the requirements of the Offer terms and conditions or that are performed before you activate the Offer will not qualify as Eligible Transactions.
Up may cancel or suspend your participation in the Program or refuse to honour an Offer if it reasonably suspects fraud or misuse of the Program or any Offer.
Liability
Up will not be liable to you if you are unable to access or activate an Offer as a result of a fault, delay or issue with, or any other action of, a third party (including the third-party retailer who provided the Offer).
Up will also not be liable to you if a participating third-party retailer does not honour an Offer due to technical, operational or other issues outside of Up’s control.
Communication & Privacy
Up may give you notices and other information about the Program and Offers by:
- Up app notification or message in the Up app;
- email to your email address last notified to us;
- prepaid post to or left at any address specified by you, or your residential or business address last known to us; or
- delivered by any other means permitted by law.
By participating in the Program, you consent to Up collecting, using and disclosing your personal information to administer Offers, provide Cashbacks, and personalise your experience.
Up handles your personal information in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at up.com.au/privacy.
Changes and Termination
Up may change these Terms and Conditions, or vary or suspend the Program, at any time without prior notice.
Up will give you notice of a change to these Terms and Conditions no later than the day on which the change takes effect.
Up will give you notice of any other variation or a suspension of the program as soon as reasonably practicable (which may be after it is effective).
If the Program is terminated by Up, any inactivated Offers will immediately expire but any Offers activated before the Program is terminated will be honoured.
Definitions
- “Up” means Up, a brand of Bendigo and Adelaide Bank Limited ABN 11 068 049 178, AFSL and Australian Credit Licence 237879.
- “Program” means the Up Offers & Discounts program.
- “Eligible Debit Card” means a physical or digital Up debit card linked to your personal Up Account and does not include Up debit cards linked to 2Up accounts or Up Essentials Saver Accounts.
- “Eligible Purchase” means a purchase transaction at the relevant participating retailer using an Eligible Debit Card which complies with the terms and conditions of an Offer.
- “Offer” means a specific cashback or promotional incentive offered by third-party retailers and made available to you under the Program.
- “Cashback” means the monetary credit applied to your Up Account if you satisfy the terms and conditions of an Offer after you have activated the Offer.
- “Up Account” means an Up Everyday Account.
